NORTH DAKOTA BADLANDS HORSE

WILDRYE'S BAND

Bendem
Wildrye, a younger full brother to Teton, was kicked out of his natal band as a yearling and ran alone for some time. He finally joined up with
Teton or sometimes Vamoose and Arrowhead. He was instrumental in Teton's taking Gray Ghost's band but Teton quickly showed him he was no longer needed. Wildrye benefited from the breakup of Little Sorrel's band, acquiring Trouble's Girl and Loretta. The beautiful Alison came from Gary's band. In early 2017 he had also acquired Little Gray.

Summer 2019 brought two new additions to the band, Alarm out of Alison in April (adopted out) and Anthem in May out of Trouble's Girl.

2020 brought Barklow (filly), Bendemeer (filly) and Blazo (colt).

2021 brought sorrow with the missing of Trouble's Girl who had been sickly for a while. Her last two offspring, Anthem and Blazo, left the band and went to live near Roosvelt's band.

Then in April Loretta gave birth to a sickly foal, Gin, who sadly, did not live long for this world.

Lively little Boone, was born to Little Gray in September.

In July of 2022, Wildrye lost his band to Roosevelt, but regained Bendemeer in September.  Bendemeer later joined Illinois.  Little Gray and her son, Boone returned to Wildrye in October of 2022.
