urban'S BAND
Spring of 2021 saw a change to the band when Urban, 2014 stallion, who had been trying hard for mares for months, beat Satellite and ran him out of the band. After seeing Urban's condition, we were worried but never gave up hope on Satellite. And low and behold on March 19th, Marylu spotted the proud old warrior in good condition!
Spring brought the blessing of little Calamity Jane born to Minnesota and surrounded by bison, on the top of a remote hill and at the time of the Medora fire!
In the spring of 2022, Urban became a first time presumed sire, with the birth of gorgeous little filly Phoenix born to mama Crow. Little Felicity joined the family just a few days later by Minnesota in the midst of a snowstorm. Sadly, Almanac foaled her first- a filly named Lani (heavenly), but tragically little Lani disappeared after a few days and her body was not found. And in August 2022, Minnesota's filly, Felicity also disappeared.
Spring of 2023 brought the addition of colt Elkin.
