RED FACE'S BAND
Red Face, born in 2001, has maintained a band since 2006. Soon after acquiring his band, he partnered with Singlefoot to form the cooperative band we called the Double Band. Both stallions maintained their own harem of mares but ran together for the next several years. Red Face finally took over the band, kicking old Singlefoot out after allowing him to breed his last mare, Frosty, in the spring of 2014. Singlefoot had already lost his other mares to Satellite, who had been a subordinate stallion to the Double Band from about 2006 or 2007 until April of 2012. Satellite still hangs out with Red Face but they do not mingle quite as freely as did Red Face and Singlefoot.
2019 brought two new additions to the band, an adorable filly named Aden born during a blizzard in the winter of 2019. (She was adopted out in the summer of 2019.) And Ardena born to Pretty Girl in August.
2020 brought Banty (Frosty) a colt, and in the summer the addition of two new mares from Mystery's tragic death, Ember's Girl and Eagle. The two mare brought both their fillies, Belcourt and Barter.
Fall brought a deep sadness to the band in through the tragic loss of Mare Molly.
We waited to see if our suspicions were true, and sure enough Flame (2000) gave birth to a tiny filly, little Brenna in October 2020.
2021 brought sassy little Duke and adorable Tibbs!
They usually range from Talkington Trail to Lindbo Flats.
