REMEMBERING Georgia's Boy

2005-2026

​It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of Georgia’s Boy, a cherished band stallion of the Theodore Roosevelt National Park herd.

Georgia's Boy was born in 2005 to Georgia and Delicious. He sired six foals over the years, three remain in the park. His daughter Magnolia (Noelle) was born in 2021 to mare Holly, she now resides in Nicols' band. Also in 2021 he welcomed a son, Tex (Finn), born to mare Shale. His latest foal was born less than a month ago, it is colt Yates out of mare Shale. Both Tex and Yates remain together with their dam Shale and mare Busy Blue. Tex will most likely take over as band stallion now.
Georgia's Boy embodied the strength and spirit of the wild, leaving behind a lasting legacy within his band and the landscape he called home.


For those of us who know and love this herd, each loss is deeply felt.
