REMEMBERING atlas
Molly was a 2002 daughter of Busy Blue and Wind Canyon I.
Because, on both sides, she went back to the Brookman Stud, a part Shire bucking stud introduced to the park in the 80’s, she was a big boned, substantial mare. As a yearling she wound up with High Star for a time but there is no record of her foaling as a two year old. At two she became part of Singlefoot’s band. It is not known exactly when Singlefoot and Red Face joined to become The Double Band, but by 2006, they were cooperative stallions with Satellite as second to Singlefoot. Molly remained one of Singlefoot’s mares for several years producing at least one foal, a lethal white, and possibly a bay with him. However, she was also being bred by Red Face and produced three more foals with him and stayed with him when he kicked out Singlefoot in 2014. Opal is her only offspring remaining in the park. Molly met with an unfortunate accident that took her life in the fall of 2020. She will always be remembered for her strong yet calm nature. You will be remembered Miss Molly 💔 |
